Team building, corporate parties, private festivals. Go outdoors with your work party this summer.

If you are looking for something a bit different for your work party this year, why not consider an outdoor event? A blank canvas event like this gives you full flexibility on everything. Activities, food, entertainment, budget. You can brand it to feel like your company and your team / employees would surely approve, as let’s face it, who doesn’t love a festival?

We have blank canvas field venues in Surrey and Sussex and can offer full or partial planning or land hire only.

Here are our Top 10 reasons to go outside for your work summer party this year.

it’s good to get outdoors

We all know about the physical and mental benefits of being outdoors in nature, but most of us spend far too much time in offices. So, getting your team out into the countryside, surrounded by greenery and great views is great for morale. Activities could include; inflatables, sports day, team building, Bear Grylls survival skills, orienteering, foraging or wellness activities like yoga and meditation. We could go on. Or you could go full on festival vibes with live bands and music, fairground rides and a focus on the partying. Or maybe your ideal event is somewhere between the two, team building/activities in the day and partying at night. Anything is possible, as we can plan to any brief.

the tipis

Tipis make for an awesome inside space. The sides can be lifted to let in the views and fairy lights wrapped around the poles provide the perfect evening lighting. Have tables and chairs for more formal events or fill the space with chill out seating, bales, sofas or bean bags, leaving room for a dancefloor of course. With the English weather you never know if you will need your tipis for cover from rain or the sun, but either way you need a shelter and tipis are such cool structures and would always be our pick for wow factor, when your employees arrive to the field.

street food

There are so many awesome outdoor food options available; Informal BBQs, big pan or sharing platters up to formal three course served meals. Or opt for food trucks serving any street food you can imagine. Wood fired pizzas continue to be really popular, but you could choose fish and chips, burgers, hog roast, steak frites, pie and mash, pasta, and pretty much any national cuisine can think of. And when it comes to dessert, there’s churros, crepes, waffles, ice cream vans and trikes.

Lots of these suppliers also operate from some pretty cool vehicles, think air streamers, converted horse boxes, vintage Citroens, all of which bring a bit of added style to your event.

the bars

There’s been an explosion in converted bars, from horseboxes to Citroen vans, piaggios to caravans and again these will bring a great of theatre to your event. For larger events you could mix specialist bars like the Gin Inn, Bubbles Bros, Pimm’s trike or mixologists offering curated or bespoke cocktails. For a smaller event you are best to go for a bar that can offer a good array of drinks to cater to all your team’s tastes.

the fire pit

As the sun goes down on your day, the fire pit is always a popular place to be. Whether it’s an outdoor fire pit with hay bales circled  around or an indoor fireplace in a tipi. Just don’t forget the marshmallows. You’ve not been to a Fiesta Fields event unless you finish the day with the smell of smoke in your hair.

the music

Essential of course. Over the years we’ve had roaming brass bands, acoustic guitarists, DJs, sometime accompanied by sax, rockaoke, company bands and full on stages with a variety of acts throughout the day.

the silent disco

To keep our business in business we do have amplified music curfews in place, but this doesn’t need to mean the end of the dancing. A silent disco is a great way to finish off the night. It really doesn’t work out too expensive to hire the headsets (and we can arrange these for you) and you can either ask your DJ to continue playing across two to three different channels or plug in devices with ready-made playlists and off you go, silently, well ok, singing allowed.

the glamping

If you don’t want your team to have to make their way home at the end of the night, we can arrange a bell tent village. Bell tents sleep 4 to 5 people or you can of course opt for fewer people to share. They come fully furnished with mat flooring, beds, bedding and decor touches like bunting and fairy lights. We’ll often make up overnight packs with water, Alka Seltzer, snacks and any branded gifts you’d like to include. Glamping brings a bit of a novelty factor and then everyone can enjoy the morning after the night before, together over a bacon or sausage sarnie.

the glitter

We love a bit of festival glitter (biodegradable of course). A face-painter or glitter artist always goes down well with girls and boys alike. Looking forward to seeing more full glitter beards this summer. Although boys do bear in mind you could be sparkly for a few days after.

the branded touches

We recommend always keeping a little budget back for finishing touches. Bespoke festival wrist bands or lanyards, festival flags, coloured bunting pallet signage, giant letters. These are perfect ways of adding your branding, whether through printing bespoke or using company colours.

the photo booth

Always super popular. You can choose from caravans, VW campers, black taxis, 360, magic mirror. The print outs with most suppliers can be branded and these always make for a fantastic memento from an awesome event.
