Fiesta Fields / Canvas & Light Open Weekend

A few weeks back we hosted our first joint Fiesta Fields / Canvas & Light Open weekend at our gorgeous Hidden Valley in Godalming. It’s been a crazy two months and only just getting a chance to share these pics with you now.

We wanted to provide a really relaxed event where couples could view one of our beautiful venues set up for a festival style wedding, with stunning white tipis and a host of other awesome suppliers.

Empty tipis ready and waiting to be styled

Over the months and weeks in the run up we were busy firming up the suppliers that would help us deliver the full festival wedding vibe.

Clare from Turmeric House – resident stylist at Canvas & Light – was involved throughout as she was leading the styling of the giant hat tipis to perfection.

The antique pendant installation started here.

We had Katrina from Beautiful Bells showcasing their chill out 7m bell, 5m and 4m sleeping bells as well as their exquisite draped couple bell.

Kayleigh, a local florist who owns The Flower Hub provided beautiful fresh floral inspiration and styled two tables in her festival inspired theme with crockery, cutlery and glassware from Couvert.

Just a sneak peak as these will be appearing on another blog very soon

Emily from Faux Bloom added some awesome floral installations, both in the tipi and for our naked ceremony tipi. She also styled up the other set of tables.

The lovely Emmelina Stork, a photographer who is now offering her funky VW Photobus, with its awesome props.

Allison and Peter (a brother sister team) from Bubbles e Birra were there with their super pretty new Piaggio prosecco van.

Gastro were on site Saturday, providing the bar and canape nibbles. Light and airy in the day in our chill-out Cirrus and warm and cosy later with the fire going.

Here’s our Moroccan vibes chill out space

Nyree from Paint and Ink Studio, who can take your wedding stationery, table plans and place cards to a beautiful place.

Grazing style dining is very on trend and on Sunday we had Dani from The Curated Kitchen, who created the most beautiful grazing table set up on Emily’s styled tables.

Super creative Loretta a former Fiesta Fields bride, who has recently set up her cake making company Sweet Treats.

Karenza from Arty Party Face Painting was there to ensure we all had the festival vibes with glitter and festival floral designs. For kids, big and small.

We took the opportunity to set up some of our extras, such as our shades of white festival flags and our mini nimbus tipi which makes a great cover for an outdoor bar or a chill out seating space. We also set up our naked ceremony tipi up by our cerermony trees at Hidden Valley.

This image really shows off the benefit of our cream canvas. You can see it’s a beautiful, natural quality of light.

Can’t beat a magic hour shot

Last, but by no means least – the talented lady who was here there and everywhere, capturing all these gorgeous shots – Abigail. Abigail has a passion for photo as well as film and also produced a fab little film for us too, which you can see below. Abigail White Photo + Film

It was a great team, a great weekend and we hope everyone who paid us a visit enjoyed themselves and felt a little bit (or a big bit) inspired.
