FAQ’s

Can I use my own suppliers?

Absolutely, you have full flexibility on your supplier choices. We have a friends page to help you, but there is no obligation to use any of them.

Do you charge corkage ?
No. You have a few options when it comes to drinks.

  • / Source a mobile bar or ask your caterer to take care of your drinks all day and evening.
  • / Provide your daytime drinks yourselves and ask a mobile bar or caterer to provide an evening bar. This can be a pay bar or you could subsidise. Your bar supplier should apply for a Temporary Event Notice on your behalf, so they can sell alcohol.
  • / Provide your drinks all day and evening. If you go down this route, most marquee/tipi companies have a bar structure you can hire. You just need to think about glassware, chilling, drinks service and tidy up. You can also go for a dry hire option with some bar suppliers, where you hire the bar structure, fridges and staff and they can serve drinks supplied by you.
  •
Can I camp/ glamp?

Yes you can and there is no additional fee for this. We have some great bell tent suppliers listed on our friends page, or guests are welcome to pitch their own tent. We would recommend you hire a plastic portable loo to pop near the camping area, since your posh loos won’t work overnight when the generator is switched off.

What time does my music need to switch off?

We have amplified music curfews of either 11pm or 11.30pm, depending on the venue. After this your options include silent disco, low level background music or acoustic music. Different venues have different rules, so best to ask us about this.

Is there a final finish time?

Yes, 1am is final finish time for any guests not staying over.

How about clear up ?

We ask that the field is left as you found it. We take a £500 security deposit the week before your event. We retain this on behalf of the landowner until we get the ok to refund it to you.

How does the 4 day hire period work

This is based on one main event day and night. The days either side are for set up and take down. If you require a weekend long event, this is possible but there would be an additional charge for this. Please contact us with your event details for a quote.

Can you help with planning?

Absolutely, we are all event planners, so we are here to help you as much or little as you like. For any coordination services we would quote you our fixed fee up front. We ask for 50% to get started and the balance 8 weeks before your event.

What does on the day coordination mean?

We would meet you a few weeks before your event to have a run through of all the plans you have made and suppliers booked. We share a schedule template with you to fill in and run through this together, so we understand how you want your day to flow. This leaves you and your family/friends free to enjoy your day without long lists of jobs that need to be done. We will keep your day on track and be a point of contact at the field for all your suppliers.

How does power work?

At Spirit Lake, Holmsted Farm, Chalkfield Barn and Eashing Farm we have on site mains power. For the other venues, you would require a generator. Our Essentials package includes generator hire and we will work with you to create a power requirements sheet and site plan. We liaise with the generator supplier on your behalf and will meet them on set up day to check everything is set up as it needs to be.

Do you have a licence for a legal ceremony?

Unfortunately English laws do not allow legal ceremonies outside yet. The Law Commission have recommended as part of the pending reforms that this changes, but for now we are still waiting. Most couples who are not wanting a religious ceremony will opt for a civil ceremony at a registry office in the week before and a blessing on the day in the field. You can keep the civil ceremony very simple and just treat it as filing the paperwork. Then there are a host of celebrants who can offer you a bespoke blessing or ceremony on the day, which makes for a special and unique ceremony. You can find some local celebrants on our friends page.

What are your payment terms?

We take 25% upfront to secure your date and any suppliers we are booking on your behalf. The balance is due 8 weeks before your event date. Deposit payments are non-refundable. Payment can be taken via BACS or cheque. We are not currently VAT registered.
